Luna Wallace, Eternal Return, photography, 11x14in., $200
There is a safeguard I have felt throughout my life—one that reveals itself in quiet moments, in the weight of my own presence, in the way my ancestors continue to guide me. As I navigated a challenging period, I turned to them, to their resilience, to the knowing that they have always continued forward, no matter the storms they faced.

This portrait is a reflection of that strength, a visual prayer to the unwavering spirit I carry because of them. The colors surrounding me are an ode to Panama, to the vibrance of my people, to the warmth we hold even in the face of forces that threaten to turn us cold. We resist—not just with survival, but with celebration. The true prize is life itself, and in that, we find our greatest strength.

This resilience is my light. And when life begins to dim it, I return to the prize. I inch closer to that light, hold it tight, and let it engulf me—until all that remains is color, warmth, and life.

Artist Statement
Guided by intuition, my work explores the existence and lived experiences of Black, LGBTQ+, and other marginalized communities. With deep curiosity about how our intersections shape our worlds, I seek to uncover the intimate truths that define our humanity. Through photography, writing, and experimental storytelling, I reflect on my connection with self, others, and our environments. Ultimately, this allows me to extend an invitation to liberation for all who engage with it.
